1956: Born on May 24 in Saint-Quentin.

1971: 1st prize at the conservatory in St-Quentin.

1980: Solo Violin in Martial Solal Big Band for five years.

​

1984: Pierre receives from Stéphane Grappelli Michel Warlop's violin. Number of gigs with Stéphane.

​

1985: in charge of a mission in New York

by French Ministry of Foreign Relations to develop

its work on the string orchestra in jazz.

​

1988 to 2007: Recordings and concerts in France and abroad

(Poland, Japan, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Yugoslavia, Germany, Turkey, Kuwait...)

with: Vince Mendoza, Toots Thielemans, Pierre Michelot, Lee Konitz,

Jacky McLean, Max Roach, Rene Urtreger, Billy Higgins, Ornette Coleman,

Michel Legrand, Raphaël Faÿs, Gotan Project...

…and its own band "Gulf String" and "Arcollectiv'".

1992 to 2012: Jazz violin teacher at CRR d'Aubervilliers

(France) and in Lausanne (Switzerland)

1996: Invited to perform in Amsterdam as composer and soloist with the

Metropole Orkest  directed by Vince Mendoza.

​

2003: Release of a jazz method for violin in 2 volumes:

"Le Jazz au violon" (Ed. Henry Lemoine).

​

2005/2006: Tours with Dorado Schmitt

(France, Japan and the United States).

​

2007 to 2019: Recordings and tours with french pop star

Thomas Dutronc.

​

2010 to 2022: Tours in USA with The Django Festival AllStars

(Washington, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago, Newport, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, New Orleans, Hollywood, Miami, Denver…).
